3 Months Old

Welcome to Charlotte's 3 Month photo shoot (by me). Obviously I have changed it from the pink hippo, I think Charlotte is more of a cute bunny type. And they are closer to the same size.
A little 3-month factoid on baby Charlotte: She is another right-on-time baby, just starting to outgrow some of her 0-3 month clothes, we are starting to move up to some 3-6 months. This bodes well for my pre-birth seasonal outfit planning (if you know me, this will not surprise you).

Could we hurry this up? I am totally bored.

The COOL!

Our commedian son always finds a way to make us laugh. We got a big blow up pool for the backyard to provide some summer-time entertainment for Parker. He calls it the "Cool". He points to the deck door & says "THE COOOOL, THE COOOOL!" Infact he is having a temper-tantrum as we speak because I reminded him of the "Cool" as I was downloading these pictures & he wants to go down there. Don't compare our totally dead grass to our next door neighbor's luscious green grass...let's just say it was an "I told you so" moment...

Nikki Baird Buchholz

We have had quite a somber week. Michael Buchholz's wife of 8 months, Nikki, passed away unexpectedly on Monday. You may remember them from a couple of posts, 1 of their engagement, & 1 of their wedding. Two things I learned about her while we were down in Jacksonville for the service was that she was so truly loved by so many people & she had an amazing faith in God. Her funeral was definitely a Celebration of her life here on Earth. Nikki loved life but she loved God first & we all know that she is in Heaven with her Heavenly Father. Hopefully that brings some comfort to the ones who love her the most.

Charlotte's New Stats

We finally went to the Dr. for Charlotte's 2 month appointment (at 10 weeks old) - here are her stats:
Length - 21.75 inches - (10-25%)
Weight - 10lb. 6oz. - (25%)
Head Circumference - 14.6 in. - (10-25%)

So Charlotte is a petite little girl, so far. Parker was 10 lbs at 5 weeks old, funny how different they already are. And I see less & less of Parker in her, looks wise, she is just her own little person.

I tried to get them in a cute brother-sister portrait moment but Parker would not cooporate - nor would Charlotte's neck support. I managed to get 1 good one, this was the best I could do on my own. I edited it on Picasa - we just downloaded it so I am new at it, they'll get better. Tomorrow I will attempt this again with the help of my Mom, who is in town visiting from Chicago.

Saddle Ridge Ranch

Well, I just finished my 2nd year of volunteering for Vacation Bible School at our Church. Sucess! Parker was a lil cow-poke for VBS this year - themed "Saddle Ridge Ranch". He was sent home with the day's activities each day, one day they made this hat, another day they made bandanas, & there was artwork sent home everyday too. He wouldn't take the hat off for like 3 days. I am so proud of my baby's 1st artwork projects (we do color at home so he was somewhat of an experienced artist already).

Big Boy Bed

Last night was Parker's 1st night in his Big-Boy-Bed. We only tried it because he loves getting in it to read books & knows that it is a "special" bed, he always points to it when we put him in his crib so we finally gave in. He did good! Stayed in it all night, didn't get out even once. But today for his nap, not so much. I heard a door slam so I went up, he had opened his drapes, opened his closet, pulled clothes out, then opened & slammed his door. So into his crib he went. The rest of the nap went much better. Yeah, he's probably too young to do the whole big boy bed thing, & at least he doesn't climb out of his crib yet.
