Camping

So Parker went on his 1st camping trip Friday night. We didn't actually stay the night (that may have been a disaster) but he was "roughing it" for a couple of hours anyway...you know, riding in the Bugaboo, playing in the pop-up camper. Roughing it.
We met Ace's parents at Stone Mountain while they were enjoying a camping adventure, braving the surprise storms from Thursday night, trying one more night for clear skys. Hopefully Parker will love the outdoors like his Daddy. And his Mommy loves the outdoors too as long as we are camping in the pop-up camper, next to clean bathrooms!

Nicole & Julie's Shower

Jacqueline, Elaina & I hosted a baby shower for Nicole & Julie this past weekend, it was fantastic weather (it was held outside), great time with the ladies, the babies all had fun, Nicole got a ton of stuff for little Sawyer. Just one snafu, poor Julie was stuck in the hospital with a kidney infection! So we took a million pictures for her & I have all her loot in hopes of a few of us getting together this weekend to order pizza with the mommy-to-be & open her presents.Mommy-to-be & little Sawyer Elizabeth

Happy Birthday Ace!

Ace's 28th Birthday was yesterday, the 13th, I would have posted this yesterday but we had wild storms & our power went out for a few hours...quite boring with no TV, no lights, no computer, no sound at all, except for the occassional jabber out of Parker.
Happy 28th Birthday Ace!!!! He celebrated by going to the Master's on Saturday & then we cake at Easter Brunch & had Birthday dinner at his parents house Sunday night. Ace got some cowboy boots & U2 tickets from me for his Birthday, that's what he wanted...Quite the outfit

Easter

We had a full Easter day this year, or I've come to realize that is how every holiday will be from now on! We went to Easter Brunch at the club with my Dad, Kim, Lindsay, Teddy, & Georgia. Parker actually liked the Easter Bunny! He got his 1st Easter basket, which also included his 1st Master's polo ~ thanks Dad & Kim! Lots of 1st's, he also just got his 1st tooth! Back on Dry Land

We're back from our Cruise! Just the 2 of us enjoyed the Carribean this past week, the cruise made stops at Princess Cays (Bahamas), St. Marteen, St. Thomas, & Turks and Caicos. As many of you know, I have a fear of flying so we drove down to Ft. Lauderdale, where we sailed out of. Ace was dreading the drive so we made a stop in Jacksonville for the night to visit his best friend Michael & his girlfriend Nikki, that made it a better trip.

It was both a fun & relaxing vacation, much needed for husband & wife after having a baby, you need a whole week of not talking baby talk or waking up early...just a week to get to know each other again! We slept until 10 most days, even noon one day, normally I would think that was extreemely lazy but both of us had trouble sleeping at night because of the rocking. I have been on cruises before & never felt that much rocking, I thought we were in a hurricane the first night but the crew all said that it has been like that all season, every night, it was like you were in the wave pool at White Water.
And the funniest thing about our cruise, the very first night, we ran into our friends Alex & Courtney Tetterton, no, neither of us knew we were even going on a cruise! We had a fantastic time with them.
Ace has the good fortune to be able to relax & slow the day down, while I am always ready for the next thing. I did feel like I may have rushed the vacation a little because I was so ready to see Parker from the time we left. He did look bigger when we got home & he had perfected the crawling & also was going from the sitting position directly to crawling & he was also pulling up on the stairs! So much can happen in a week at this age, it's unbelievable.in the dining room the 2nd night

our ship at Princess Cays, we had to take a boat to the island

On Coki Beach at St. Thomas, probably the most beautiful beach I've been to

I got in trouble for taking this picture of the funny donkey

Iguanas on St. Thomas, they just roam around like stray cats
