Anna & Stephanie's Baby Shower

Yes, another shower! I have been going to a ton of showers lately, that's a good thing though, friends are getting married, having babies, quite an exciting time, these mid-to-late 20's! This Saturday was Anna & Stephanie's joint baby shower, they are Ace's cousins, who are sisters & due about a week apart. Stephanie is having a girl, Madison, & Anna is having a boy, Carter. It's nice to have someone to be preggers with!

Jessica's Wedding Shower

Congrats on your marriage Jess! Jessica surprised us all & got married in Vegas (not at a Chapel O' Love, but a secret, planned wedding at a hotel), very sneaky :) So things were kind of done backwards, shower after the wedding, bachelorette party this weekend, which I can't go to because I am way too pregnant to go to the beach - and not to mention, I have "cankles"

Shower Weekend!

I had 2 showers this past weekend, Nicole, Elaina & Lindsay threw one & My Mom threw the other! Thank you so much, they were absolutely perfect!! And not to mention that Parker's closet & bathroom cabinets look like a Sam's Club, I won't have to buy anything for about the 1st year of his life :) Here are some shots of the fun times

Sarah, Beth, & party-planner extrodinaire Nicole

Sarah (Herseth) won the prize of the best wrapped gift, she wrapped an octogon (or six-ogon whatever that's called!) This was my baby bumbo seat

STOCKED! - from Nora, Lisa, Sabrina & Ylan - Thank you!! Please ignore the fact that I looked stoned or something...

Candy table, such a cute idea

More cute decor

Mr. Bo had a big day during the shower too, he is bushed from his big hair cut, or "brush with death" as he would describe it. We even have to pay an extra fee for him because he is "wild on the table", I think that one step away from being banned from the groomers. When he is super tired his tounge sticks out, which never fails to make me laugh

Lesson of the Day

First of all, I had 2 wonderful showers this weekend, THANK YOU everyone who was a part of it!! But I will post all about that with pictures tonight when I get home...

But this lesson is for those who aren't sure exactly what to say to a pregnant woman. Mostly it has been strangers who have said the "wrong" things, so don't worry I'm not singleing anyone out! This is just meant to be funny :)

No / Bad
  1. Are you sure you are not having twins?
  2. You are sooooo big / huge!
  3. When are you due, tomorrow?! (when it is a few months away still)
  4. I can't believe you still have 2 months left, followed by a crazy laugh, accompanied by the "head shake"
I am sure many of you who have been preggers can relate! If the woman's Belly is big, you can try saying things like this:

Yes/Good
  1. You are all belly, you haven't gained an ounce anywere else! (if this is true, say it, if not, see #2)
  2. You look so cute / great (weather it's true or not, this is always the safe thing to say)

I think pregnant people make some people nervous & they think since you have a little person inside your tummy, you shouldn't feel self conscious, but believe me most pregnant women probably do. So take a big breath to clear your head & say either #1 or #2 under the "Yes/Good" column & everyone will be happy forever & ever, which may infact lead to world peace :) The End.

Love ya'll, check back for pictures tonight from this weekend!

8 Months!

OK here is the picture of the 8 month bump, I do have to admit, it is a little painful posting these pics as I get bigger! I had an appointment today with the OBGYN & everything is fine, nothing new to report on the Dr. front. He is moving around a lot, not as much kicking anymore, more just wiggling around, sticking out his booty or a foot now & then. OH, & he had the hiccups for the 1st time today while I was sitting in the waiting room at the Dr. & I was hoping to hear it on the heart-beat monitor but they made me wait too long & his hiccups had subsided...

8 more weeks, & he should double in weight, hard to believe he'll be able to fit in there! I think his little temporary home is getting pretty tight!
