Grilled Cheese

Yes, Parker is his Mother's child, he had his 1st grilled cheese today, a whole sandwich, repeat, a WHOLE sandwich - I do think this is the most of 1 thing he's ever eaten. He didn't know his Mommy was a Master Chef --- until tonight. Here are the progression of events, documented for his mommy's grilled-cheese-lovin' satisfaction:Hmm...cheese & bread, so simple, yet so brilliant...

Chicago

We are back from our 1st Family trip (on a plane), to Chicago & Minneapolis. We ventured (by car) up to Minneapolis from Chicago last Monday, so that my Nana could meet Parker, it was a very special trip, my Nana doesn't travel anymore so it was a grand-daughter's duty to make it up there before her great-grandson's 1st Birthday.

Chicagoland

Hi this is Ace. Erika may remove this post as quick as I get it up so who knows. Sometimes a husbands point of view is a little different than the mothers so maybe Erika will let me continue to publish bits as they say.

Another reason is my parents are traveling up the N. West Coast exploring and want to try to keep up with them as well. We are trying to get my mother to Bungee Jump or have some sort of crazy adventure since there is so much to do. I told her this morning to just imagine your on the bachelorette!
We are in Chicago as you may know, safe and sound and have had a great nights sleep. We will be in Chicago today and tomorrow. My first trip to town in the warm months they say we are actually hitting the Beach the afternoon on Lake Michigan. Double dinner date following in the windy city. I am very much excited about getting to dine out somewhere nice with Erika and her parents tonight, Chicago has such great food and night life. Kris's friend Mary will be keeping Parkman tonight and Steve's daughter Phoebe has been gracious to watch him tomorrow. We have tickets to Wrigley to see the Cubs Vs. #1 St. Louis Cards tomorrow afternoon and am looking forward to this. Great weather as they say is the norm in Chicago for the summer. It may turn out to be a little vacation after all. Mimi and Downtown Steve are in the park right now playing with Parker on a blanket while Mom and Dad get a little R&R, he has been great so far. Flying high at 20,000 Feet

So I FLEW for the 1st time in over 2 years, as many know, I have a very dramatic fear of flying. But I did it, we prayed (& had other people praying as well) for our flight to be smooth & turbulance-free. I knew I couldn't run forever & being that my mom lives in Chicago, I'd need to get over this fear. It was a fabulously nice flight, thanks Delta. Now pray for our flight back to ATL & I may just start flying all over the US with no fear! I've just had some hum-dingers of bad flights in my past that have taken me the point of no return, the last flight I was on included the flight attendant telling me that it was the worst flight she'd had in all her 17 years in that profession.
More importantly, it was Parker's 1st flight, he did fine, climing all over us, squaking at the guy between the seats, doing his thing to make people tell him how cute he is, & even sleeping in my arms during the decent to Chicago.
He is fast asleep in Mom & Steve's 22nd floor downtown loft right now, sleeping through the sounds of the L right below us. What a perfect little boy.

Welcome Baby Sawyer!

Nicole & Ron Sheffield had their sweet baby girl today, Sawyer Elizabeth Sheffiled, 7lbs. 6oz., 20 inches long. We already made a b-line over to Piedmont to see her tonight.

My 2 Front Teefs

They are here, finally here! New Teeth! They came in pairs this time, like old best friends, those teeth...the top ones are the newbies. We won't have a hard time flossing between those bad boys!

This is through the bars on his crib, the only way I could get below him to get the shot of the newest members of Parker's mouth.
