1 Year Stats

Parker had his 1 year check-up today, here are his new stats:

Length - 30 1/4 inches, 50th - 75th Percentile
Weight - 23 lb. 6 oz., 50th - 75th Percentile
Head Circumference - 48.6 cm. - 50th - 75th Percentile

My Dr. doesn't give me exact percentiles for some reason, it's always given to me in a "between" fashion. Yea Parkie!

Happy Birthday Parker!

It was a year ago today that I was in the hospital & had baby Parker, hard to believe for me. Our lives changed forever a year ago today, baby Parker has changed so much, from a tiny sleeping baby to a little crawler, to a walking almost-toddler. We love our baby Parker so much & cannot imangine life without him. You truly never understand how much your parents love you until you have a child of your own, the love for your child is something you can't explain.

Parker's 1st Birthday Party

Yesterday we had Parkie's 1st Birthday Party, here are some highlights...
Parker & his Grandpas

He had never had anything this sweet, not so sure about it at first...

He digs in - yes he had blue lips & hands until the next night

Knox - I mean Superman - had to have a "Superman-blue" cupcake too

End result of blue-icing-overload

And the bath to get it off - so yes, we actually had to "hose off" our son

Thanks to everyone for making Parker's 1st Birthday a fun day here at the Howell house, he has played non-stop today with all his new toys, & even though he won't remember this day when he grows up, we took great video of the cake scene - I may just have Ace send that one to America's Funniest Home Videos!

Breaking News!! Walking baby!

Parker walked today (actually about 20 minutes ago) - 3 steps in a row the 1st time! He hasn't even taken 1 step before today, so we were screaming (& we scared him). Nicole & I were witnesses... This video is about 5 minutes later, 2 and a half steps or so...

Mac N Cheese Night

Do I have food on my face??? Or Macaroni stuck to my hand???

Grilled Cheese

Yes, Parker is his Mother's child, he had his 1st grilled cheese today, a whole sandwich, repeat, a WHOLE sandwich - I do think this is the most of 1 thing he's ever eaten. He didn't know his Mommy was a Master Chef --- until tonight. Here are the progression of events, documented for his mommy's grilled-cheese-lovin' satisfaction:Hmm...cheese & bread, so simple, yet so brilliant...

Chicago

We are back from our 1st Family trip (on a plane), to Chicago & Minneapolis. We ventured (by car) up to Minneapolis from Chicago last Monday, so that my Nana could meet Parker, it was a very special trip, my Nana doesn't travel anymore so it was a grand-daughter's duty to make it up there before her great-grandson's 1st Birthday.
